Donald Garrett to Teach at IBEW Conference
Washington, DC – Professional Registered Parliamentarian Donald Garrett is set to instruct on Robert’s Rules of Order at the 2022 International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) 2022 Women’s Conference in September 2022. Donald Garrett is the Principal of Last Minute Meetings.
“I am honored to help leaders of one of our nation’s premiere labor unions master parliamentary procedure at the upcoming IBEW Conference,” said Mr. Garrett. “Very important decisions that impact all aspects of our lives are discussed at union meetings, and parliamentary procedure will provide the union members with the tools for active participation.”
The IBEW (https://ibew.org) represents approximately 775,000 active members and retirees who work in a wide variety of fields, including utilities, construction, telecommunications, broadcasting, manufacturing, railroads and government. Without a special rule of order to the contrary, Robert’s Rules of Order generally restricts debate to 10 minutes per speech.
