Parliamentarian Conference to be Held Virtually
Tysons Corner, Virginia — The National Association of Parliamentarians (NAP) recently announced that its 2020 National Training Conference (NTC) will transition to a fully virtual format. Donald Garrett, the Principal of Last Minute Meetings, serves at NAP’s Organizational Effectiveness Committee Chairman, and will have a leadership role with the pivot to a virtual format.
Garrett said, “Organizations across the world are adapting to their new realities in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic. I am excited to help bring parliamentary procedure education to hundreds of learners across the globe, and to be supporting my peers as NAP continues to put on its premier biennial event.”
Garrett is a Professional Registered Parliamentarian, as well as the Second Vice President of the Virginia State Association of Parliamentarians.
The NTC is expected to bring over 600 attendees together to study Robert’s Rules of Order. The keynote session of the Conference is the highly-anticipated release of the new edition of Robert’s, including lectures from the authorship team that preview the changes. The NTC is scheduled to occur August 27-30, 2020, and more information can be found at napconference.org.
